Description
Delta is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager for our facilities projects.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and self-directed with a background in facilities design for municipal and transportation agencies. The candidate will work directly with the Electrical Department Manager to plan and oversee project design and execution.

Requirements
Project Planning & Management Responsibilities:
- Develop new project scoping, man-hours estimation, budgeting, and design criteria
- Manage select projects and support other PMs when necessary
- Coordinate with other departments for multi-discipline projects.
- Supervision of supporting engineers and technicians for the preparation of contract documents
- Compile milestone deliverables (calculations, drawings, specs, etc) consistent with client standards
- Organize both physical and digital project documentation
- Attend site visits and client meetings
- Conducting business development activities as needed
Engineering Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed electrical design of lighting, power distribution, alarms, and communications, voltage drop calculations, generator and transformer sizing, substation and ground grid design and analysis.
- Experience with SKM Power Tools
- Review drawings prepared by others in AutoCAD, REVIT, or Microstation format
- Participating in QA/QC process of completed work by staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred
- Illinois licensed PE
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the electrical design in a variety of building types: office, commercial, education and industrial.
- Experience with CADD solutions including Microstation, AutoCad, and Revit
- Solid knowledge of electrical trade practices, standards, and building codes
- Strong communication, teamwork & leadership skills.
- Experience using SKM for Arc Flash studies is a plus
